JCI or Junior Chamber International
JCI or Junior Chamber International, was founded in 1915 in St. Louis Missouri USA by Henry Giessenbier. It has since grown to become an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization for young active citizens between the ages of 18 and 40.
Active in over 120 countries around the world and with around 200,000 thousand active members, it is made up of local chapters that form national chapters in each country. These in turn make up the international network of JCI.
JCI members share the belief that in order to create positive change, we must take collective action to improve ourselves and the world around us. Engaging in activities from community development to international projects, members demonstrate their social responsibility and improve themselves through participation, leadership and action.
JCI Lemesos was established in 1997 and has since been a vital part of the national chapter, JCI Cyprus. JCI enables positive change through the development of young active citizens. JCI programs offer opportunities to learn, inspire and build our experience as leaders.
